Simple Energy Sales Cross 10,000 Units in 2026

Bengaluru-based EV startup Simple Energy has achieved a significant operational landmark by crossing 10,000 annual vehicle sales for the first time. According to official Vahan registration data, the brand registered 10,429 electric scooter deliveries between January and August 2026.

This performance reflects a massive 203% YoY growth compared to the 3,436 units delivered during the same period last year. The surge in demand highlights growing consumer acceptance of its flagship performance e-scooters in the Indian market.

Strong Traction for Performance Range

Driven primarily by its flagship Simple One and One S e-scooters, the company has consistently maintained a spot among India’s top 10 electric two-wheeler manufacturers since February 2026. Simple Energy currently averages ninth position nationwide in monthly electric two-wheeler sales.

Since starting customer deliveries in mid-2023, the startup has achieved cumulative sales of over 18,556 units. Its highest monthly volume was recorded in March 2026, when it dispatched 1,780 units.

Expanding into Family Segment with Simple Wave

To sustain its growth trajectory, Simple Energy recently launched its most affordable model yet—the Simple Wave—priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). While the Simple One caters to performance enthusiasts, the Wave directly targets high-volume family scooter buyers.

Featuring a spacious 920mm seat and multiple battery configurations offering up to a 243 km claimed range, the Wave enters a competitive market segment dominated by the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Hero Vida, and Ather. Deliveries for the new family scooter are set to commence later this month.

Production Capacity and Retail Expansion

To support rising consumer demand, Simple Energy is scaling up its production capabilities and distribution footprint:

  • Manufacturing Capacity: Currently set at 3,000 units per month.

  • Retail Footprint: Over 75 touchpoints operating across 63 Indian cities, including Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune.

The Road Ahead for Simple Energy

Crossing the 10,000-unit annual mark cements Simple Energy’s position as a serious contender among Indian EV startups. With the affordable Wave family scooter expanding its target
