Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition Launched in India: Design, Engine, Features and Price
Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the new Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition in India, expanding its flagship superbike lineup with exclusive styling updates and new features. The special edition retains the mechanical setup of the standard Hayabusa while adding distinctive cosmetic elements.
It comes with a Pearl Vigor Blue paint scheme, special graphics and a single-seat cowl. Suzuki has also introduced updates to the standard Hayabusa, including new colour options and revised electronic systems.
The new Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition carries an ex-showroom price of Rs. 19.90 lakh, while the standard model costs Rs. 18.99 lakh.
Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition: Design
The Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition features an exclusive Pearl Vigor Blue colour that distinguishes it from the standard model. It gets special graphics, a unique wheel finish and a three-dimensional Suzuki emblem on the fuel tank.
The motorcycle also features a dedicated Special Edition badge, highlighting its exclusive identity. Suzuki has added anodised finishes to the muffler end and heat guard, giving these components a distinctive appearance.
A single-seat cowl comes as standard equipment, adding to the bike’s sporty look. The special edition retains the Hayabusa’s familiar aerodynamic bodywork, which takes inspiration from the peregrine falcon and supports stability at high speeds.
Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition: Powertrain and Performance
The Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition uses a 1,340cc, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with DOHC technology. The motor produces 190bhp and 142Nm of peak torque, delivering strong performance across the rev range.
It comes paired with a six-speed gearbox that supports conventional shifting and clutchless gear changes through the bi-directional quick-shifter. Suzuki has also revised the Power Mode Selector and Launch Control System settings.
The updated Smart Cruise Control system can now remain active when the rider changes gears using the quick-shifter. These updates aim to improve riding convenience while retaining the Hayabusa’s established performance characteristics.
Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition: Suspension Setup and Braking
The Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition uses a twin-spar aluminium frame and swingarm. The suspension setup includes adjustable KYB inverted front forks and a rear KYB monoshock, allowing riders to adjust the setup according to their preferences.
The motorcycle also features Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 tyres for grip and stability. For braking, Suzuki provides twin 320mm floating discs at the front, paired with Brembo Stylema callipers.
The rear wheel gets a 260mm disc brake. The braking system also includes ABS and Motion Track ABS, which uses information about the motorcycle’s movement and lean angle to support braking control.

Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition: Price
Suzuki has launched the Hayabusa Special Edition in India at Rs. 19.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The standard Hayabusa costs Rs. 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The special edition commands a premium of Rs. 91,000 over the standard model. Both versions are available through Suzuki dealerships across India.
