Tata Aeris Teased Again Ahead of Launch: What to Expect?
Tata Motors has released another teaser of the upcoming Tata Aeris compact sedan ahead of its India launch on September 25, 2026. The new sedan will replace the Tigor and get a heavily revised design.
The latest teaser confirms the 1.2-litre petrol engine and shows the updated lighting elements and alloy wheels. Tata will position the Aeris in the competitive sub-4-metre sedan segment.
It is expected to offer petrol and CNG powertrains, while an electric version could also join the lineup.
Tata Aeris Expected Features
The Tata Aeris will get a significantly updated exterior compared with the outgoing Tigor. The latest teaser shows slimmer headlamps, revised LED tail lamps and redesigned alloy wheels. The front could also feature a new bumper, C-shaped elements and a wider air intake.
The sedan will retain its notchback-style roofline and overall compact proportions. Inside, Tata is expected to borrow several elements from the updated Tiago. These could include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital driver display, wireless phone charging and connected-car technology.
Other expected features include automatic climate control, rear AC vents, powered ORVMs and a 360-degree camera. Six airbags could also come as standard.
Under the hood, the Aeris will use the familiar 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 84bhp and 113Nm. It is expected to come with 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. A factory-fitted CNG version could also continue with the same transmission choices.
Tata Aeris Expected Price and Rivals
The Tata Aeris could start at around Rs. 6 lakh ex-showroom. It may cost slightly more than the outgoing Tigor due to its design and feature upgrades. The sedan will rival the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze in India.
