Exclusive! Tata Altroz Facelift to Debut on May 9: New Features Alert

Tata Motors is all set to unveil the Tata Altroz facelift on May 9, with prices scheduled to be announced on May 22, followed by the commencement of deliveries soon after.

This refreshed version aims to give Tata a stronger foothold in the competitive premium hatchback segment, which includes top rivals like the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and Toyota Glanza.

Tata Altroz Facelift: Modernized Interior with Premium Upgrades

The upcoming Tata Altroz gets a comprehensive interior makeover. The most noticeable change is the redesigned dashboard, giving the cabin a cleaner and more premium feel. One of the biggest tech additions is the updated digital instrument cluster, which now supports Google Maps, making in-car navigation smarter and more convenient.

The Altroz facelift also features a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, Redesigned seat upholstery for a richer cabin experience, a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system (shared with the Nexon and Curvv), a 360-degree camera for better parking visibility, and voice-controlled assistant, a single-pane electric sunroof.

On the outside, the 2025 Altroz sports several noticeable design changes. The front fascia now looks sharper with new LED headlamps, updated daytime running lights (DRLs), and a redesigned front grille. The bumper also gets subtle updates, including LED fog lamps for better visibility.

Other key updates include flush-type door handles for a sleeker profile, 3D front grille, new alloy wheel designs and LED tail-lamps connected by a sleek Infinity LED light bar, giving the rear a more modern touch.

These visual upgrades bring the Altroz up to speed with evolving design trends in the hatchback space.

Engine Line-Up Expected to Remain Unchanged

Under the hood, the new Altroz is likely to retain its current engine options first a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, second 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol, and third 1.5-litre diesel engine,. Apart from this the car will be available with both manual and automatic gearbox option.

Importantly, the Altroz continues to be the only diesel-powered hatchback in the segment, making it a strong choice for long-distance commuters and those looking for better fuel economy.

Expected Price

The expected starting price is just over ₹6.5 lakh (ex-showroom), with top-end trims expected to go higher due to the premium additions.
