Tata Motors September 2026 Sales Report: Domestic and Export Sales

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has reported strong sales for September 2026, crossing the 70,000-unit mark for the first time in a month. The company recorded total passenger vehicle sales of 70,210 units across domestic and international markets.

Domestic sales stood at 68,810 units, while exports reached 1,400 units during the month. Tata Motors recorded 15.27 per cent growth in total sales compared with 60,907 units sold in September 2025.

The company also ended the July-September quarter with its highest-ever quarterly passenger vehicle sales of 2,01,723 units. Electric vehicles continued to contribute strongly, with 15,384 EVs sold during September.

Tata Motors September 2026 Sales: YoY Performance

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles recorded total sales of 70,210 units in September 2026, compared with 60,907 units in September 2025. This represents a 15.27 per cent year-on-year increase. Domestic passenger vehicle sales increased to 68,810 units from 59,667 units a year earlier, registering 15.32 per cent growth.

Exports also increased to 1,400 units from 1,240 units, marking 12.90 per cent YoY growth. Electric vehicle sales stood at 15,384 units, up 67.38 per cent from 9,191 units in September 2025. EVs therefore recorded much faster growth than Tata’s overall passenger vehicle sales during the month.

Tata Motors September 2026 Sales: MoM Performance

On a month-on-month basis, Tata Motors’ domestic passenger vehicle sales increased to 68,810 units in September 2026 from 65,253 units in August 2026. This translates into a 5.45 per cent increase. Total passenger vehicle sales also increased from around 66,654 units in August, including international business, to 70,210 units in September.

Export sales stood at 1,400 units in September. Tata’s domestic volumes have increased for three consecutive months, rising from 62,611 units in July to 65,253 units in August and 68,810 units in September.
