Tata Sierra Dark Edition Launched at Rs. 13.99 Lakh

Tata Motors has added a new Dark Edition to the Sierra lineup in India. The new Tata Sierra Dark Edition brings a blacked-out exterior and a contrasting purple-themed cabin. Tata has based this special edition on the Sierra Legend Series and offers it across multiple variants.

Prices start at Rs. 13.99 lakh and go up to Rs. 21.59 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and powertrain. The company has kept the mechanical setup unchanged and focused mainly on giving the SUV a darker and more distinctive appearance.

Tata Sierra Dark Edition Design

The Sierra Dark Edition gets a new Friesian Black exterior colour. Tata has also replaced the usual chrome elements with darker finishes. The SUV gets black Tata logos, dark badging and black-finished alloy wheels. The front fenders also carry #DARK badges.

The 19-inch alloy wheel design remains unchanged, but the black finish gives the SUV a more aggressive appearance. Tata has also added Satin Midnight Black details to the exterior.

The black theme continues inside the cabin. Tata uses a Violet Eclipse theme with purple highlights across the dashboard, AC vents, door handles and other interior areas. The seats also feature contrasting purple stitching.

Feature availability depends on the variant. Higher trims can get a triple-screen dashboard, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, powered tailgate, wireless charging and connected-car technology. Top variants also offer a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS and a 12-speaker JBL Black sound system.

Tata Sierra Dark Edition Engine Options

Tata has not made any mechanical changes to the Sierra Dark Edition. The SUV continues with its existing 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines.

The petrol engine produces around 106hp, while the diesel engine develops around 118hp. The turbo-petrol engine produces around 160hp. Tata offers manual and automatic gearbox options depending on the engine and variant.

Tata Sierra Dark Edition Price

The Tata Sierra Dark Edition starts at Rs. 13.99 lakh for the Pure L petrol-manual variant. The range extends up to Rs. 21.59 lakh for the Accomplished+ diesel-automatic version. The Dark package costs around Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 30,000 more than the corresponding standard Sierra variant.
