Demand of electric cars in Indian market is increasing day by day, as a result automobile companies starts increasing its electric portfolio for Indian Market.
With the growing demand for electric vehicles in the country, car manufacturers are gearing up to introduce new models. Kia Motors plans to expand its EV lineup by 2026.
As part of this strategy, Kia is preparing to launch four electric cars: three new models—the Kia EV9, EV3, and Carens EV—and an updated version of the existing Kia EV6.

KIA EV9: Expected Price Rs 80 lakh
The first new electric car from the South Korean company in the Indian market will be the Kia EV9, set to debut later this year.
Internationally, this vehicle comes with two powertrain options, single-motor and dual-motor, paired with a 99.8kWh battery pack. It will offer a range of over 600 kilometers on a single charge.
The EV9 will feature dual 12.3-inch screens, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability, 9 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level-2 ADAS. Its price is expected to be around 8 million rupees.
KIA Carens EV: Expected Price Rs 25 lakh
The car manufacturer is also set to introduce an electric version of the Kia Carens, which could be launched in India next year.
Although details about its battery pack and powertrain have not yet been revealed, it is expected to offer a range of around 400-500 kilometers.
The Carens EV might feature dual 10.25-inch displays, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, a sunroof, 6 airbags, ESC, and ADAS features
KIA EV6 Facelift: Expected Price Rs 61 lakh
The company will launch an updated model of the Kia EV6, which was introduced in the Indian market in 2022, within the next 12-18 months.
The facelifted EV6 has been revamped globally with increased battery capacity and a redesigned front end. It will feature dual 12.3-inch screens, multi-zone touch-based climate control, powered seats, and a Level-2 ADAS suite, offering a range of approximately 500 kilometers.
KIA EV3: Expected Price Rs 30 lakh
The Kia EV3, a compact electric SUV, is set to arrive in India in 2026. Globally, it is available with two battery options—58.3kWh and 81.4kWh—though the Indian version might be equipped with the smaller battery.
This vehicle will offer a range of over 400 kilometers on a single charge with its single electric motor. Key features of the EV3 will include dual 12.3-inch screens, climate control, a sunroof, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and Level-2 ADAS.
