2026 Maruti Brezza to Debut on July 23: Expected Design, New Turbo Engine, Features, Safety and Price

Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to unveil the updated 2026 Maruti Brezza on July 23, giving one of India’s best-selling compact SUVs a comprehensive mid-cycle refresh.

While the overall silhouette is expected to remain familiar, the facelift is likely to bring sharper styling, a feature-rich cabin, improved safety technology and, most importantly, a new turbo-petrol engine option.

These updates are aimed at helping the Brezza stay competitive against rivals such as the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Hyundai Venue and Skoda Kylaq.

Here’s everything buyers can expect from the upcoming 2026 Maruti Brezza.

2026 Maruti Brezza: Expected Design

Spy shots indicate that Maruti Suzuki will adopt an evolutionary design approach rather than a complete overhaul. The 2026 Brezza is expected to feature a redesigned front bumper, a revised grille, updated LED headlamps with a new DRL signature, refreshed alloy wheels and fresh exterior paint options.

Minor revisions to the rear bumper and tail lamps are also anticipated. These cosmetic changes should give the SUV a more premium and contemporary appearance while retaining the boxy proportions that have made the Brezza popular among Indian buyers.

2026 Maruti Brezza: Expected Powertrain

The biggest mechanical update could be the addition of Maruti Suzuki’s new 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine, offering stronger performance than the existing naturally aspirated unit.

The current 1.5-litre K-Series petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology is also expected to continue, paired with manual and automatic transmission choices.

A factory-fitted CNG variant is likely to remain part of the lineup. The turbo engine would give the Brezza a significant boost in performance, allowing it to compete more effectively with turbocharged rivals in the segment.

Expected Cabin

Inside, the 2026 Brezza is expected to receive several technology upgrades. Reports suggest a larger touchscreen infotainment system, an updated digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, a premium audio system, wireless charging and connected car technology.

Maruti may also introduce improved upholstery, soft-touch materials and additional convenience features to enhance the premium feel.

The refreshed cabin will likely focus on offering better comfort and connectivity while maintaining the SUV’s practical interior layout.

Expected Safety Features

Safety is expected to be one of the biggest highlights of the facelifted Brezza. The SUV could offer six airbags as standard, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, a 360-degree camera and an expanded Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite on higher variants.

Features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and autonomous emergency braking are also being speculated. These additions would significantly strengthen the Brezza’s appeal as customer demand for advanced safety technologies continues to grow in the Indian market.

2026 Maruti Brezza: Expected Price

Maruti Suzuki is expected to price the updated Brezza at a slight premium over the current model. Prices could start at around Rs 8.8 lakh (ex-showroom) and extend to approximately Rs 15 lakh for the fully loaded turbo-petrol automatic variant, depending on the final feature list and powertrain options.

Why the Updated Brezza Is Important for the Indian Market

The compact SUV segment remains India’s most competitive passenger vehicle category, making the Brezza a crucial product for Maruti Suzuki. With rivals offering turbocharged engines, ADAS features and premium cabins, the refreshed Brezza is expected to narrow the technology gap while reinforcing Maruti’s dominance.

The launch will also showcase the company’s evolving product strategy, blending improved performance, advanced safety and modern features to attract both first-time SUV buyers and existing customers looking to upgrade.
