In past few years the demand of hybrid cars has been increased in the Indian Market. Seeing this Maruti Suzuki is planning to expand its hybrid lineup with Hybrid Swift.
This will be the next model of the company to come with Hybrid technology will be Swift hatchback. According to sources, Maruti Suzuki is preparing to introduce Swift Hybrid in the Indian car market soon with better mileage. The new Suzuki Swift Hybrid with the new Z-series engine was launched in Japan in December, 2023.

Maruti Suzuki Hybrid Swift: Features
The new Maruti Suzuki Swift is expected to be offered with a newly developed Z12E 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine, paired with a 48-volt electric motor.
This setup generates power of 82hp and torque of 108Nm. For transmission, it is linked to a CVT gearbox, which is capable of giving a mileage of 35-40 km/litre.
Swift equipped with hybrid system may be priced around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
The country’s largest carmaker introduced hybrid technology in 2015 with the Smart Hybrid System introduced in the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
Subsequently, the company introduced the Intelligent Electric Hybrid System, which was offered with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara in 2022.
Currently, the company is offering this strong hybrid system in Maruti Suzuki Invicto including Grand Vitara. The company offers a total of 7 models with Smart Hybrid and Intelligent Electric Hybrid.
