Maruti Suzuki Introduced its Flying Car Concept Model, to be launched soon

India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has showcased the flying car concept on the stage of Vibrant Gujarat, showing interest in starting flying car service in India.

Along with this, the company has showcased the updated prototype of Maruti Suzuki eVX Concept during the event. The concept was first showcased during the Auto Expo 2023 in January, 2022, after which it was shown again at the Japan Mobility Show.

The concept model of the company’s flying car highlights the automaker’s thinking of introduing a flying car in upcoming years.

Maruti Suzuki Flying Car

Maruti has partnered with Japanese startup Skydrive to develop ‘Skycar’ with an aim to launch flying car service in the country. Lets us tell you that the SkyDrive is a all electric flying taxi service

It is a multi-rotor aircraft, which will be used as a flying car in the country. The Skycar concept will serve as an electric flying taxi service for urban areas were its  nor easy to build airports.

This flying car can take off and land from the roofs of buildings without an airport. The production version of this car may made its way to Indian Market in around 2028.

Maruti Will Also Bring an Electric SUV

The updated prototype of Maruti Suzuki eVX concept has made minor changes compared to the previous version.

The production-spec eVX will be roughly the same size as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV, measuring 4,300mm in length. Due to its wheelbase being around 2,700mm, there will be plenty of space inside the cabin.

The electric car will be launched with a 60kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which will be capable of giving a range of about 550 kilometers. Its starting price will be around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
