Skoda Unveils Flagship Skoda Peaq EV With Up To 647 KM Range: Could It Come To India?
Skoda has officially unveiled the all-new Skoda Peaq EV, marking a massive milestone as the brand’s flagship electric SUV and its most advanced electric vehicle to date.
Positioned firmly at the top of Skoda’s global EV lineup, the Peaq is designed to compete directly with premium family electric SUVs like the Kia EV9, Hyundai Ioniq 9, and Volvo EX90.
This new model represents Skoda’s bold vision for the future of electric mobility, combining long driving ranges, cutting-edge technology, and a highly spacious three-row cabin.
Interestingly, Skoda Auto India is actively evaluating the possibility of bringing the Peaq to the Indian market, where it could serve as the company’s premium halo electric SUV.
Skoda Peaq EV Design: Modern Solid Language Takes Center Stage
The Skoda Peaq proudly adopts the company’s latest “Modern Solid” design philosophy, giving it a highly futuristic yet clean appearance.
Front Fascia: The SUV features a striking gloss-black “Tech Deck” face integrated with distinctive T-shaped Matrix LED headlamps and sleek daytime running lights.
Side Profile: Its clean silhouette is characterized by flush pop-out door handles, aerodynamic alloy wheels ranging from 19 to 21 inches, and a minimalist body design.
Rear Aesthetics: Slim T-shaped LED taillights, a sculpted bumper, and a roof-mounted spoiler enhance the SUV’s premium road presence.
Measuring 4,874 mm in length, the Peaq stands as Skoda’s largest and most imposing electric vehicle to date.
Dimensions And Practicality
The Peaq has been engineered from the ground up as a large family SUV that blends an impressive road presence with everyday utility.
| Dimension Metric | Measurement |
| Overall Length | 4,874 mm |
| Overall Width | 1,867 mm |
| Overall Height | 1,664 mm |
| Wheelbase | 2,965 mm |
| Ground Clearance | 184 mm |
The generous 2,965 mm wheelbase helps maximize legroom across all rows. Skoda claims the Peaq provides one of the largest luggage capacities in its entire historical lineup, offering up to 935 litres of cargo space when the third-row seats are folded flat. A handy 37-litre front trunk (frunk) further adds to its overall storage practicality.
Powertrain, Battery, And Driving Range
Skoda will offer the Peaq EV globally in three distinct variants tailored to different performance and range requirements:
Peaq 60: The entry-level version uses a 63 kWh battery paired with a rear-wheel-drive motor producing 204 hp, offering a claimed range of up to 459 km.
Peaq 90: The mid-spec choice upgrades to a larger 91 kWh battery package and a more potent motor making 286 hp, pushing its impressive driving range up to 647 km.
Peaq 90x: The flagship performance variant gets a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup producing 299 hp, delivering up to 613 km of range on a single charge.
Equipped with high-voltage DC architecture, fast charging can replenish the battery from 10 to 80 percent in under 30 minutes, keeping downtime to a minimum during long road trips.

Cabin, Comfort, And Technology
Inside, the Skoda Peaq welcomes occupants into a premium, lounge-like, and technology-focused cabin environment.
A Skoda First: The minimalist dashboard houses a massive 13.6-inch vertically oriented touchscreen infotainment system—a new layout milestone for the brand—complemented by a clean 10-inch digital instrument cluster and a stylish two-spoke steering wheel.
The feature list reads like a luxury car checklist. Passengers can enjoy a premium 16-speaker Sonos audio system, dual wireless smartphone charging pads, a panoramic sunroof with Dynamic Shade Control, and fast-charging USB ports distributed across all three rows.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the Peaq offers bidirectional charging capability (Vehicle-to-Load), allowing the vehicle to function as a mobile power bank to run electronic gear. Additional premium highlights include a digital smartphone key, an augmented-reality head-up display (AR HUD), and optional ergonomic massage seats with integrated leg rests.
Comprehensive Safety Features
Safety remains a core pillar for Skoda, and the Peaq comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of advanced safety technologies. Standard equipment includes 10 airbags, electronic stability control systems, a 360-degree camera, and automatic parking assistance.
Depending on the specific market, buyers can expect a robust Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite featuring:
Adaptive Cruise Control
Lane-Keeping Assist
Blind-Spot Monitoring
Autonomous Emergency Braking
Cross-Traffic Alert Systems
The SUV also introduces clever, practical touches like integrated washer nozzles within the wiper system to ensure maximum visibility without obscuring the driver’s view. These combined features aim to make the Peaq one of the safest premium vehicles in global testing regimes.
Expected Price And India Launch Prospects
While Skoda has not announced official country-specific pricing yet, the Peaq is slated to be positioned as the brand’s most premium and expensive EV globally.
Skoda Auto India is actively exploring its launch viability. If approved for the Indian market, the flagship electric SUV could arrive by 2027 via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) or CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route, giving Indian buyers a highly sophisticated, long-range three-row alternative in the premium EV space.
