Honda Cars India June 2026 Sales Report: Total Dispatches Jump 71% as Exports Surge

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has locked in a highly successful month, showcasing robust volume growth across its entire passenger vehicle lineup.

According to the company’s official Honda Cars India sales report, total wholesales surged to 8,788 units, marking an impressive 71.5% year-on-year (YoY) increase compared to the 5,124 units dispatched in June last year.

This stellar performance highlights a notable recovery for the brand in the highly competitive Indian passenger vehicle market, driven by balanced success in both local and international showrooms.

Wholesale Breakdown and Key Growth Drivers

A closer look at the Honda June 2026 sales highlights stable domestic performance backed by a massive surge in overseas shipments. In the domestic market, Honda India sales reached 5,243 units, charting a steady 13.5% YoY growth over the 4,618 units sold in June 2025.

Exponential Export Surge

The real headline for Honda car sales June 2026 belongs to its shipping division. Honda exports grew exponentially, sky-rocketing by over 600% to hit 3,545 units, up from a meager 506 units in the same period last year.

This overall growth reflects a healthy market reception for the newly updated premium City sedan alongside strong, sustained momentum for Honda Amaze sales and Honda Elevate sales.

Kunal Behl, Vice President of Marketing & Sales at Honda Cars India, noted that the recent launch of the new City and the highly anticipated India premiere of the global Honda SUV sales contender, the ZR-V, have significantly re-energized showroom footfalls.

Future Outlook: Preparing for a Major Premium Offensive

The positive trajectory of the Honda Cars India June 2026 performance lays a solid foundation for the remaining quarters of the fiscal year. Moving forward, the brand’s premium appeal is set to receive a substantial boost as customer deliveries for the all-new global ZR-V hybrid SUV officially commence this month.

Furthermore, Honda is mapping out its largest product offensive yet for the subcontinent. Long-term roadmaps include the introduction of 10 new models by 2030, anchored by an upcoming sub-4-meter SUV to rival local bestsellers and the highly anticipated 2027 launch of the “0 Alpha” electric SUV.

Backed by expanding hybrid choices and strategic SUV additions, Honda is firmly positioned to recapture a significant share of the premium automotive market.
