Month-on-Month (MoM) Performance
Compared with May 2026, Mahindra continued its upward trajectory. Domestic SUV sales increased from 58,021 units to 60,393 units, reflecting healthy sequential growth driven by sustained customer demand across popular models such as the Scorpio-N, XUV700, Thar Roxx, XUV 3XO and Bolero.
Overall vehicle dispatches also crossed the one lakh-unit milestone after standing at 99,636 units in May, highlighting improving production efficiency and strong dealer demand heading into the second quarter of FY2026-27.

Year-on-Year (YoY) Performance
Mahindra’s June sales numbers underline the company’s continued dominance in India’s SUV segment. Domestic SUV sales rose 28% compared with June 2025, while total vehicle sales, including exports, surged 37% YoY to 1,06,207 units.
The growth was supported by sustained bookings for the brand’s premium SUVs, increasing production capacity and strong demand across both urban and rural markets, enabling Mahindra to outperform overall passenger vehicle industry growth.
Domestic Sales and Exports
The domestic market remained Mahindra’s primary growth engine, with 60,393 SUVs delivered during June. Alongside robust domestic demand, exports also recorded healthy growth, contributing meaningfully to the company’s overall sales tally of 1,06,207 vehicles.
Mahindra continues expanding its international footprint while strengthening its leadership in India’s SUV segment. The combination of higher domestic dispatches, improving export volumes and a diversified commercial vehicle portfolio has further reinforced the company’s sales momentum entering the second half of 2026.
Strong SUV Portfolio Continues to Drive Growth
Mahindra’s current product lineup remains one of the strongest in the Indian market. Models including the Scorpio-N, Thar, Thar Roxx, XUV700, XUV 3XO, Bolero Neo and the company’s growing electric SUV portfolio continue attracting buyers across multiple price segments. The sustained demand reflects consumers’ increasing preference for feature-rich SUVs with strong safety credentials and premium technology.
With production constraints gradually easing and order backlogs reducing, Mahindra appears well-positioned to maintain healthy sales momentum in the coming months. Upcoming product launches and increased manufacturing capacity could further strengthen its market share in FY2026-27.
Our Take
Mahindra has entered the second quarter of FY2026-27 on a strong note. Double-digit growth in both SUV sales and overall vehicle volumes indicates that the company’s product strategy continues to resonate with Indian buyers.
If demand remains steady and production capacity keeps improving, Mahindra is likely to remain one of the fastest-growing passenger vehicle manufacturers in India throughout the remainder of the financial year.
