2027 Hyundai Tucson XRT Will Be Hyundai’s New Off-Roading SUV?

Hyundai has revealed the new-generation Tucson XRT with a more rugged design and adventure-focused styling. The 2027 Hyundai Tucson XRT gets unique bumpers, skid plates, black body cladding and special wheels.

It also gets an updated suspension setup and standard all-wheel drive, making it better suited to light off-road use. The new Tucson follows Hyundai’s latest design language and looks much more boxy than before.

However, Hyundai has not confirmed whether the new Tucson XRT will come to India.

2027 Hyundai Tucson XRT: Features

The 2027 Hyundai Tucson XRT gets a more aggressive front design than the standard Tucson. It features a split rectangular grille, unique front bumper, black wheel-arch cladding and a chunky skid plate. The SUV also gets special XRT wheels and a different rear bumper with another skid plate. Hyundai has given the XRT a tougher look while keeping the basic design of the new Tucson.

The cabin follows the same modern layout as the standard Tucson. It gets a large central touchscreen, a slim digital driver display and a new steering wheel. The XRT also gets exclusive patterned seats, dark-metal interior trim and protective floor mats for both rows. The new Tucson also offers a wider rear-door opening and more cabin space than the outgoing model.

The XRT uses a 2.5 litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 187hp and 241Nm. An eight-speed automatic gearbox sends power to all four wheels. Hyundai also gives the XRT a unique suspension setup and more ground clearance than the standard Tucson, helping it handle light off-road trails.

2027 Hyundai Tucson XRT: Price and Rivals in India

Hyundai has not announced the India price of the 2027 Tucson XRT. The India launch also remains unconfirmed. If Hyundai brings it here, it could compete with the Jeep Meridian, Volkswagen Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq. The outgoing Tucson started at Rs. 27.70 lakh in India.
