Honda Elevate Facelift Launched, Will Compete With These 5 SUVs

Honda has launched the Honda Elevate facelift in India with a starting price of Rs. 11.80 lakh, ex-showroom. The updated SUV gets its first major refresh since its launch in 2023. Honda has focused on styling, cabin comfort and new features instead of making major mechanical changes.

The facelift brings a revised exterior design, more premium cabin equipment and additional safety and convenience features. The Honda Elevate continues with its 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and competes in the crowded mid-size SUV segment.

Here are five key SUVs that rival the new Honda Elevate in India.

Honda Elevate Facelift Features

The Honda Elevate facelift gets a revised front grille, new segmented LED lighting and a redesigned bumper. The Honda logo now sits on the leading edge of the bonnet. At the rear, connected LED lighting and a revised bumper give the SUV a fresh look.

Inside, Honda adds ventilated front and rear seats, powered front seats, a factory-fitted 360-degree camera, front parking sensors and ambient lighting. The SUV also gets improved cabin insulation. The facelift retains the 10.25-inch touchscreen, six airbags and Honda Sensing ADAS features.

Hyundai Creta

1. Hyundai Creta

The Hyundai Creta remains one of the strongest rivals to the Honda Elevate. The Creta price starts at around Rs. 10.91 lakh and goes up to Rs. 20.14 lakh, ex-showroom. Hyundai offers the Creta with multiple powertrain choices, including a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.

Transmission options include manual and automatic gearboxes. The Creta also offers features such as a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats and ADAS on higher variants. This wider engine and feature range makes the Creta a major competitor for the updated Elevate.

2. Kia Seltos

The Kia Seltos is another important rival for the Honda Elevate facelift. The latest Seltos starts at Rs. 10.99 lakh and goes up to Rs. 21.57 lakh, ex-showroom. Kia offers three engine options, including a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 143.8Nm, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 253Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 250Nm.

The SUV gets manual and automatic transmission choices depending on the engine. The Seltos also offers features such as a panoramic sunroof, ADAS, ventilated seats and a large touchscreen.

5. Volkswagen Taigun

The Volkswagen Taigun completes the list of five key rivals to the Honda Elevate facelift. The Taigun starts at around Rs. 11 lakh and its top variant costs around Rs. 19.47 lakh, ex-showroom. Volkswagen offers the SUV with a 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine and a larger 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine.

The smaller engine produces around 114hp and 178Nm, while the 1.5-litre engine produces around 148hp and 250Nm. Transmission options include manual and automatic gearboxes. The Taigun focuses on turbo-petrol performance, driving dynamics and updated technology.

Honda Elevate Facelift vs Rivals

The Honda Elevate facelift enters the segment with a starting price of Rs. 11.80 lakh and a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol engine. Its key strengths now include ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, updated styling and Honda Sensing safety technology.

However, rivals such as the Creta and Seltos offer more engine choices, while the Grand Vitara adds a strong-hybrid option. The Kushaq and Taigun offer turbo-petrol engines with strong torque figures. This makes the updated Elevate a feature-rich petrol SUV, but buyers have several different powertrain options to consider in the same price segment.
