MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition Leaked Ahead of Launch: New Design, Cabin Features and More

The MG Windsor EV is set to get a new special edition in India as the brand prepares to introduce the Windsor EV Indulge Edition. The upcoming model has leaked online ahead of its official launch, revealing several changes over the standard electric crossover.

The Indulge Edition will focus mainly on exclusive styling, improved cabin comfort and additional features rather than major mechanical upgrades.

MG has already teased the new edition as it celebrates two years of the Windsor in India. The company says more than 80,000 families have chosen the Windsor so far.

MG Windsor EV Indulge Expected Design

The leaked images reveal a new Shadow Gold exterior colour for the MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition. The special version will also feature 18-inch black alloy wheels and exclusive Indulge badging on the rear quarter glass.

The remaining exterior design should continue with the Windsor EV’s familiar styling. It will retain the connected LED daytime running lights, LED headlamps, black roof and blacked-out ORVMs.

The body cladding and rear design should also remain largely unchanged. The new colour, black wheels and special badges will give the Indulge Edition a more distinctive appearance compared with the regular Windsor EV.

MG Windsor EV Indulge Expected Powertrain

MG is unlikely to make mechanical changes to the Windsor EV Indulge Edition. The current Windsor EV range uses two battery options: a 38kWh battery and a larger 52.9kWh battery in the Windsor EV Pro.

Both versions use a front-mounted electric motor that produces around 136hp and 200Nm. The standard battery version offers a claimed range of around 332km, while the Windsor EV Pro delivers up to 449km on the claimed MIDC cycle.

The Indulge Edition is expected to retain the same motor and battery options, although MG has not yet confirmed which powertrain configuration it will use.

MG Windsor EV Indulge Expected Cabin

The cabin will get more noticeable changes than the exterior. The leaked details point towards a new Urban Tan and Black leatherette upholstery, while the front-seat headrests could receive special Indulge embossing. MG is also expected to offer neck cushions for front passengers and pillows for rear occupants.

The biggest addition could be a roof-mounted flip-down screen for rear passengers, which MG calls the Prive Screen. The regular Windsor already offers a spacious lounge-like cabin, Aero Lounge seats with up to 135-degree recline, a large touchscreen and panoramic glass roof. The Indulge Edition is expected to build on this comfort-focused layout.

MG Windsor EV Indulge Expected Launch and Price

MG has not announced the official launch date or price of the Windsor EV Indulge Edition yet. The standard Windsor EV currently starts at around Rs. 14.70 lakh, while the Indulge Edition is expected to command a premium because of its exclusive styling and additional features
