MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition Launched at Rs. 17.89 Lakh: New Features, Range and Price

JSW MG Motor India has launched the MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition in India at a price of Rs. 17.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The new special edition brings a distinctive exterior colour, updated cabin theme and additional comfort features to the electric crossover.

Unlike the Windsor EV Pro, the Indulge Edition uses the smaller 38kWh battery pack and offers a claimed range of 332km. MG has also added a roof-mounted entertainment screen for rear passengers, along with new upholstery and special accessories.

The mechanical package remains unchanged, with a front-mounted electric motor producing 136hp and 200Nm.

MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition: Design

The biggest exterior change on the MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition is its new Shadow Gold colour scheme. MG has paired the golden body with a black roof and black exterior elements, giving the EV a more distinctive appearance. The special edition also gets 18-inch black alloy wheels and dedicated Indulge badges on the rear quarter glass.

The rest of the design remains largely unchanged from the standard Windsor EV. It continues with LED lighting, black body cladding and black outside rear-view mirrors. MG has also included several accessories with the Indulge Edition, including a rear sunshade, themed 3D floor mats, chrome exterior accents, bumper corner protectors, body-side moulding and a leather key cover.

The Indulge Edition gets Urban Tan and Black upholstery, along with Indulge embroidery on the front headrests.

MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition: Interior and Features

The cabin receives more noticeable changes. The Indulge Edition gets Urban Tan and Black upholstery, along with Indulge embroidery on the front headrests. MG has also added themed cushions and neck pillows for passengers.

One of the key additions is a 15.6-inch PRIVE screen mounted for rear-seat passengers. The screen adds an entertainment feature for occupants sitting in the second row. The standard Windsor’s Aero Lounge rear seats continue with their 135-degree recline function.

Other equipment carried over from the Windsor includes the large 15.6-inch central touchscreen, connected-car technology and the panoramic-style glass roof.

MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition: Battery and Range

The MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition uses a 38kWh battery pack, making it different from the larger-battery Windsor EV Pro variants. The battery powers a front-mounted electric motor that produces 136hp and 200Nm.

MG claims a driving range of 332km on a single charge. The company has not made any mechanical changes to the Indulge Edition, so its focus remains on additional styling, comfort and entertainment features rather than increased performance or range.

The regular Windsor EV range also includes a larger 52.9kWh battery, which offers a claimed range of up to 449km. However, MG has not offered this larger battery with the new Indulge Edition.

MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition: Price and Rivals

The MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition costs Rs. 17.89 lakh (ex-showroom). It is positioned as a premium version of the Windsor with additional cabin features and exclusive styling.

The Windsor competes with electric cars such as the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400.
