BMW F 450 R Expected Features

The upcoming roadster is expected to share its platform with the BMW F 450 GS. The GS uses a 420cc parallel-twin engine that produces 48hp and 43Nm. BMW pairs this engine with a six-speed gearbox. The roadster could use the same engine, although BMW has not confirmed its final specifications or tuning.

The teaser reveals a compact design, USD front forks and a more road-focused riding position. BMW could use shorter suspension travel than the F 450 GS. The new motorcycle is also expected to feature modern rider aids and a digital instrument cluster, but BMW has not confirmed its equipment list yet.
