Kia Syros EV Launched in India at Rs. 13.49 Lakh, Offers 526km Range

Kia Motors has officially launched the Kia Syros EV in India, expanding its electric vehicle lineup with its second mass-market EV for the country. The electric SUV carries a starting price of Rs. 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and targets buyers looking for a feature-rich electric SUV with a long driving range.

Buyers can choose between two battery pack options, with the larger version offering a claimed range of up to 526km on a single charge.

Kia has also equipped the Syros EV with fast-charging capability to make daily use more convenient. The company has already started accepting bookings, and it will begin customer deliveries from July 30.

Design of the Kia Syros EV

The Kia Syros EV carries forward the bold styling of its ICE sibling but adds several EV-specific design elements to give it a cleaner and more futuristic look.

The front fascia features a closed-off grille, sleek LED DRLs and vertically stacked LED headlamps, while the redesigned bumper improves its modern appearance.

At the sides, the SUV gets newly designed aerodynamic alloy wheels and subtle EV badging. The rear continues with connected LED tail lamps and a sculpted tailgate, giving the Syros EV a premium road presence. Overall, Kia has retained the SUV’s boxy proportions while adding distinctive touches that clearly set the electric version apart.

The Kia Syros EV measures 3,995mm in length, 1,800mm in width and 1,665mm in height, while its 2,550mm wheelbase promises a spacious cabin. The electric SUV also offers 190mm of ground clearance, making it well-suited for Indian road conditions and everyday urban as well as highway driving.

Powertrain, Range and Charging

The Kia Syros EV is available with two battery pack options. The 43.5kWh battery delivers a claimed range of 404km, while the larger 54.2kWh battery offers up to 526km on a single charge (MIDC).

The electric motor produces up to 171hp, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 8.1 seconds, with a top speed of 170km/h.

Using a 100kW DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes. Kia also offers an 11kW AC home charger, which takes around 4 to 5 hours, depending on the battery pack.

Cabin and Features

Inside, the Kia Syros EV offers a premium and technology-focused cabin with a clean dashboard layout and high-quality materials. It features a 30-inch Trinity panoramic display that combines the digital instrument cluster, infotainment touchscreen and climate control panel.

The SUV also gets ventilated front and rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, a Harman Kardon premium sound system and connected car technology.

With generous legroom, rear-seat comfort and a practical cabin layout, the Syros EV is designed to offer a comfortable experience for both city commutes and long-distance journeys.

Safety and Unique Features

Kia has equipped the Syros EV with a comprehensive safety package. The electric SUV comes with Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, and vehicle stability management. It also features disc brakes on all four wheels and an electronic parking brake with auto hold.

One of the Syros EV’s standout features is its Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, which allows users to power external electrical devices directly from the vehicle’s battery.

The SUV also supports Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging, enabling it to transfer energy to another compatible EV. Combined with its 30-inch Trinity panoramic display, ventilated rear seats and fast-charging capability, these features help the Syros EV stand out in the growing electric SUV segment.

Price, Variants, Colours and Booking Details

Kia has launched the Syros EV in India with a starting price of Rs. 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-end variant is priced at Rs. 21.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

The electric SUV is available in six variants – HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and HTX+ (O) – giving buyers a wide range of options. Customers can also choose from eight exterior colour options, including several dual-tone finishes.

Kia has started accepting bookings across India through its authorised dealerships and the official Kia India website. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin from July 30, 2026.
