Lamborghini Teases Mysterious New Urus Ahead Of July 1
Lamborghini has officially teased a new version of the Urus, confirming that the high-performance luxury SUV will make its global debut on July 1. While the Italian marque has not revealed the model’s name, the teaser image hints at a more aggressive variant that could replace the previous Urus Performante.
The company describes the upcoming SUV as “a new chapter,” suggesting significant upgrades over the current Urus SE. Industry reports indicate the new model will retain the plug-in hybrid V8 setup while receiving improved aerodynamics, additional performance, and exclusive styling enhancements.
The official unveiling is expected to provide more details about Lamborghini’s next-generation performance SUV.

More Aggressive Design With Sharper Aerodynamics
Although Lamborghini has kept most details under wraps, the teaser image reveals several important styling updates. The SUV features a larger rear spoiler integrated into the tailgate, accompanied by a redesigned roof-mounted wing that hints at increased downforce.
These aerodynamic enhancements suggest the new Urus has been engineered with track-focused performance in mind. The front fascia is also expected to receive revised bumpers, larger air intakes and a more aggressive diffuser.
Dimensionally, the SUV is likely to remain similar to the current Urus SE, measuring around 5,113 mm in length, 2,017 mm in width and 1,638 mm in height, while retaining its muscular stance and wide track.
Plug-In Hybrid V8 Expected To Deliver Even More Performance
The upcoming Urus is expected to continue with Lamborghini’s 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain. The existing Urus SE develops a combined 789 hp and 950 Nm of torque, making it one of the fastest SUVs in the world.
However, reports suggest Lamborghini could increase power further for the new performance-focused variant while refining chassis dynamics and suspension tuning.
An eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel-drive system are expected to remain standard. The SUV could sprint from 0-100 kmph in under 3.3 seconds and achieve a top speed close to 312 kmph, making it even quicker than the outgoing Performante.
Premium Cabin With Advanced Technology And Safety
Inside, the mysterious Urus is expected to retain Lamborghini’s driver-focused cockpit while introducing new trim options and performance-oriented finishes.
Buyers can expect premium Alcantara upholstery, carbon-fibre accents, sports seats and a fully digital instrument cluster paired with a large touchscreen infotainment system. Wireless smartphone connectivity, multiple driving modes and connected-car technology are also likely to be offered.
On the safety front, the SUV should continue with adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, surround-view cameras, electronic stability control, multiple airbags and advanced driver assistance systems, ensuring it remains practical despite its supercar-level performance.
Expected Price And Rivals
The new Lamborghini Urus is expected to go on sale in international markets shortly after its July 1 global reveal. If introduced in India, prices could start at around Rs 4.8 crore (ex-showroom), depending on the variant.
Its primary rivals will include the Ferrari Purosangue, Aston Martin DBX707, Bentley Bentayga Speed, and Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid.
