Maruti Suzuki XL6 Facelift Previewed as New XL7 Debuts in Indonesia; India Launch Expected This Year
Suzuki has officially unveiled the refreshed XL7 for the Indonesian market, giving Indian buyers an early glimpse of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift. Since the XL6 is based on the XL7 sold overseas, the latest updates are expected to make their way to the India-spec model in the coming months.
The refreshed MPV receives a sharper exterior design, minor cabin upgrades, and additional technology, while the powertrain remains unchanged. Maruti Suzuki is expected to introduce the updated XL6 in India before the end of 2026.
Maruti Suzuki XL6 Facelift: Refreshed Exterior and Updated Cabin
The updated Suzuki XL7 features a more aggressive front fascia with a redesigned bumper, a wider gloss-black grille, newly styled fog lamp housings, and a sleeker silver skid plate. The premium black treatment extends to the 16-inch alloy wheels, ORVMs, door handles, A-pillars, and roof, giving the MPV a sportier appearance.
At the rear, the only noticeable change is a newly designed roof spoiler, while LED headlamps, smoked LED taillights, the rear bumper with a silver skid plate, and the black trim below the rear windshield have been carried over.
Inside, the cabin remains largely familiar but gets a refreshed dashboard finish with glossy inserts and a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other key features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, automatic climate control, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, roof-mounted AC vents for second-row passengers, TPMS, ventilated cup holders, a 360-degree camera, cruise control, and an all-black interior theme.
Powertrain Likely to Remain Unchanged for India
Under the hood, the Indonesian-spec Suzuki XL7 continues with the 1.5-litre K15B naturally aspirated petrol engine, paired with a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic transmission. However, the India-spec Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift is expected to retain the familiar 1.5-litre K15C Smart Hybrid petrol engine, producing 102 bhp and 137 Nm of torque. Transmission options are likely to include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
Maruti Suzuki is also expected to continue offering the factory-fitted CNG variant, which currently delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 26.23 km/kg. With refreshed styling, upgraded technology, and the trusted K-Series engine, the upcoming XL6 facelift is expected to strengthen its position in the premium MPV segment while competing with rivals such as the Kia Carens and Toyota Rumion.

The upcoming Maruti Suzuki XL6 Facelift is expected to be priced slightly higher than the current model due to its updated design, new features, and technology upgrades. The MPV could carry an expected price tag of around Rs 12 lakh to Rs 16.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to rival models like Kia Carens.
