Tata Aeris Launch Tomorrow: Design, Features, Engine, EV Range and Expected Price

Tata Motors will launch the new Tata Aeris compact sedan in India on September 25, 2026. The new model will replace the Tigor and bring major styling and feature updates.

Tata will offer the Aeris with petrol, CNG and electric powertrain options. The company has already revealed several details through teasers, while leaked images have also revealed the production-ready car.

Tata Aeris Design

The Aeris will retain the Tigor’s notchback-style profile but gets a much sharper design. It features slim LED headlamps with thin DRLs, LED fog lamps and a redesigned front bumper. New alloy wheels and revised rear lighting further separate it from the outgoing Tigor.

The rear gets redesigned tail-lamps, a new bumper and Aeris badging. Tata has also introduced a new purple colour for the sedan.

Interior and Features

The Aeris will get a more modern cabin inspired by the latest Tiago. The interior could feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen, digital driver display and Tata’s new two-spoke steering wheel.

Other expected features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, automatic climate control, rear AC vents and a 360-degree camera. Tata could also offer six airbags and electronic stability control on selected variants.

Petrol, CNG and Electric Powertrains

The petrol version is expected to use the familiar 1.2-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine. It produces 86hp and 113Nm in petrol form. The CNG version could produce 76hp and 97Nm. Both versions are expected to get 5-speed manual and AMT options.

The Aeris EV could use battery packs from the Tiago EV or Tigor EV. Expected options include 19.2kWh, 24kWh and possibly a 26kWh battery pack.

Expected Price and Rivals

Tata could price the Aeris from around Rs. 6 lakh (ex-showroom). The final prices will be announced at launch. The petrol and CNG versions will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze and Hyundai Aura.
