Tata Punch EV Price Hiked by Up to Rs 20,000 in September 2026
Tata Motors has increased the prices of the Punch EV in India as part of its September 2026 price revision. The electric SUV now costs up to Rs 20,000 more, depending on the battery pack and variant.
The latest hike comes after Tata Motors announced a broader price increase of up to Rs 25,000 across its passenger vehicle range from September 1, citing rising input costs and inflationary pressures.
The Punch EV continues to offer 30kWh and 40kWh battery options, making it one of the more affordable electric SUVs in India. Its new ex-showroom price now starts at Rs 9.79 lakh.

Tata Punch EV: What’s New?
The main change for September 2026 is the revised pricing. Tata Motors has increased the prices based on the battery capacity. The 30kWh Smart and Smart+ variants have become Rs 10,000 more expensive. Meanwhile, the larger 40kWh battery variants, including Smart+, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered+ S, now cost Rs 20,000 more. Following the revision, the Punch EV is priced between Rs 9.79 lakh and Rs 12.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
There are no major mechanical changes with this price revision. The Punch EV continues with two battery options and two power outputs. The 30kWh version produces 87bhp and offers a claimed range of 355km. The 40kWh version produces 127bhp and has a claimed range of 468km.
The Punch EV received its facelift earlier in 2026, bringing a revised front design, connected lighting elements and an updated cabin. It also gets features such as a large touchscreen infotainment system, 360-degree camera and a frunk. The model recently scored five stars in Bharat NCAP testing.
