If you are a fan of the Tigor sedan, then here is some good news for you. Tata Motors is working on the Tata Tigor Facelift for the Indian market, and the company is planning to launch this model in the coming weeks.

In the latest development, its design patent has leaked ahead of the India launch. As per the leaked images, the design of the sedan gets major updates with a new LED lighting setup and a more muscular stance.

So, let’s know what features we are expecting from the upcoming Tigor Facelift.

What we know so far about the Tata Tigor Facelift Design?

Talking about the design, the upcoming Tata Tigor Facelift will be slightly different from the current-generation model, with a more aggressive design. We can clearly see a new air dam at the front end and expect the same in the upcoming model.

The company may also add a new LED lighting setup with DRLs, updated bumpers, and alloy wheels. Some reports suggest that it will come equipped with a cutout for the front camera on the bumper and blind-spot cameras on the ORVMs.

In terms of dimensions, the updated Tigor will be very similar to its current-generation model.

Powertrain

The upcoming Tata Tigor Facelift is expected to retain the existing 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine currently produces 86 hp of power and 113 Nm of peak torque and is available with both a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT transmission.

Tata Motors is also likely to continue offering the CNG version of the Tigor, which remains a popular choice among budget-conscious buyers.

While no major mechanical changes are expected, the company could introduce minor updates to improve fuel efficiency, refinement, and overall driving experience.

Cabin and Safety features

Tigor Facelift is expected to receive several updates to make the interior feel more premium and feature-rich. The sedan could get a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a fully digital instrument cluster borrowed from newer Tata models.

The company may also introduce a redesigned dashboard layout, updated upholstery, automatic climate control, and a wireless charging pad. Safety features such as a 360-degree camera and additional driver-assistance technologies could also be offered on higher variants, enhancing the overall ownership experience.

Expected Price and Rivals

Tata Tigor Facelift is expected to command a slight premium over the current model, with prices likely to start from around Rs 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will continue to rival the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Honda Amaze in the compact sedan segment.
