Top 5 Cars Showcased at Paris Motor Show 2026: Peugeot, Renault, BYD and More
The Paris Motor Show 2026 is currently underway from October 12 to October 18, 2026, at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, serving as a critical battleground for the global automotive industry.
As European automakers face an aggressive wave of competition from expanding Chinese brands, traditional carmakers are accelerating their electric vehicle strategies. The event features a wide array of new production vehicles and forward-looking concept models, highlighting intense electric vehicle competition across price segments.
Here are the top cars showcased at the event that showcase the future of design, technology, and electric mobility.
1. Peugeot RCZ Vision
Peugeot showcased the RCZ Vision as an all-electric sports coupe design study, reviving the spirit of the original RCZ. The concept features a low-slung, aerodynamic profile, 21-inch front and 22-inch rear forged aluminium wheels, and a cockpit constructed using recycled aluminium paint.
Inside, the RCZ Vision introduces Peugeot’s Hypersquare steering control paired with steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire technologies. Powering this four-seat concept is a dual-motor electric drivetrain producing an officially claimed 493 bhp.
Peugeot states the concept utilises a 110 mm-thick solid-state battery operating on a 1,000V electrical architecture, enabling a target range of up to 600 km and a claimed 10% to 80% charge time of 10 minutes.
Peugeot confirmed the RCZ Vision is purely a concept model with no immediate production or launch plans. It serves as an important showcase for the brand’s future design direction and high-voltage platform technologies.
2. Peugeot E-T16
Peugeot unveiled the E-T16 Concept at the Paris Motor Show 2026 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its historic 205 T16 World Rally Championship victories. The concept features aggressive, WRC-inspired rally bodywork with wide stance proportions, active aerodynamics, and lightweight composite construction elements.
The powertrain relies on an 800V tri-motor electric setup delivering four-wheel-drive capability. Official performance estimates state the E-T16 Concept accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds. Peugeot designed the concept on a high-output battery architecture optimized for track-oriented thermal management.
The Peugeot E-T16 is an official concept car rather than a showroom model. Peugeot holds no active plans for series production, but engineers will use the vehicle to preview future high-performance electric hatchbacks and influence the next-generation E-208 lineup.

3. Citroen 2 CV Concept
Citroen presented the Citroen 2 CV Concept, reviving its historic post-war nameplate as a modern, entry-level electric hatchback. The exterior design incorporates distinct retro details, including round LED headlights, deep-dish wheels, a four-door layout, and a classic roll-back fabric sunroof.
The minimalist interior features recycled materials, a floating central infotainment display, and a simplified dash layout. Powered by a single front-mounted electric motor, Citroen targets a driving range of up to 350 km on a single charge.
The 2 CV Concept is a preview car for an upcoming production model set for a 2028 European release. Citroen targets a starting price under 15,000 Euros (approximately Rs. 13.5 lakh). The car is crucial because it leads the effort by European brands to provide affordable electric mobility against lower-cost overseas competitors.

4. Renault E-Space Concept
Renault debuted the Renault E-Space Concept, redefining its iconic 1984 Espace nameplate for the electric era. Measuring 4.70 metres long, the concept drops traditional SUV proportions in favour of a sleek, aerodynamic one-box MPV silhouette, featuring wide U-shaped LED light strips and 23-inch wheels.
The flat-floor interior houses six individual seats in a three-row configuration and features a pillar-to-pillar screen measuring 1,130 mm wide by 110 mm high. Renault has not released official motor, battery capacity, or range figures for the concept car.
The Renault E-Space Concept is a forward-looking concept vehicle created to outline the brand’s vision for future family mobility. It demonstrates how spacious passenger-centric MPVs can provide an efficient alternative to heavy electric SUVs.

5. BYD Atto 8
BYD introduced the Atto 8 as a flagship, seven-seat electric SUV designed for global markets. The production car features a bold front fascia, full-width LED lighting, aerodynamic side profiles, and three rows of seating. When passenger seats fold flat, luggage capacity reaches up to 1,960 litres, supplemented by a 136-litre front trunk.
The vehicle debuted BYD’s proprietary Flash Charging technology, which allows a 10% to 97% battery charge in nine minutes. Top-spec all-wheel-drive variants output 775 PS, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, with a maximum claimed range of up to 650 km (405 miles).
The BYD Atto 8 is a fully confirmed production car scheduled for European distribution. It serves as a flagship demonstration of ultra-fast charging technology and high-power output in the large SUV segment.
