2026 Renault Kwid Launched in India, Price starts at Rs 4.53 lakh
Renault has unveiled the 2026 Renault Kwid in India with prices beginning at Rs 4.53 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated hatchback receives subtle cosmetic revisions, a simplified variant lineup and an optional dealer-fitted CNG kit.
As part of the update, Renault has streamlined the range by discontinuing the Authentic and Techno variants, leaving buyers with just Evolution and Climber trims, both available with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT gearbox.
Alongside the Kwid update, Renault also outlined its future roadmap for India. The company has announced 12 product-related initiatives over the next 18 months, with four major updates scheduled before the end of 2026.
Renault India CEO Stephane Deblaise stated that the brand intends to keep introducing meaningful updates every few months, ranging from limited editions and design refreshes to new technologies, powertrain upgrades and completely new models.
2026 Renault Kwid: Powertrain
2026 Renault Kwid continues with the familiar 1.0-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that develops 69 hp and 92.5 Nm of torque.
Customers opting for the manual transmission can also choose a retrofitted CNG kit priced at an additional Rs 70,450. The kit will be installed through authorised Renault workshops and is backed by a 3-year/1 lakh km warranty, whichever comes first.
