Will Nissan Pixo Make Its Way to the Indian Market? Here’s What We Know

Nissan has unveiled the all-new Nissan Pixo electric city car for the European market. The compact EV marks Nissan’s return to the A-segment and targets urban buyers looking for an affordable electric car.

Nissan has developed the Pixo specifically for European cities and will build it at Renault’s Novo Mesto plant in Slovenia. Customer deliveries will begin in early 2027.

However, Nissan has not confirmed an India launch for the Pixo yet. The company will announce market-specific details and pricing from December 2026. This leaves the possibility of an India launch open, but there is currently no official confirmation.

Nissan Pixo Features

The Pixo measures 3,796mm long, 1,790mm wide and 1,512mm tall, with a 2,492mm wheelbase. It uses a 27.5kWh LFP battery and a 60kW electric motor that drives the front wheels. Nissan claims a 259km WLTP range. The car supports 50kW DC fast charging, which can charge the battery from 15 to 80 percent in around 28 minutes. It also gets an 11kW AC charger with bidirectional charging capability.

Inside, the Pixo gets a 7-inch digital driver display and a 10-inch touchscreen with Google built-in services. Google Gemini provides voice-based assistance for navigation, entertainment and communication. Nissan says Gemini will support 16 languages at launch. The car also gets individually sliding rear seats, up to 356 litres of boot space, one-pedal driving, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance and hands-free parking.

Nissan Pixo: Price, Availability and India Launch

Nissan has not revealed the Pixo’s official price yet. The company will announce pricing, market-specific specifications and pre-order information from December 2026. European deliveries will start in early 2027.

For India, Nissan has not confirmed any launch plan. The company currently describes the Pixo as a car developed specifically for European customers and European cities.

Therefore, there is no confirmed India launch date or India price at present. If Nissan decides to bring the Pixo to India, it would face small EVs and affordable electric hatchbacks in the market, but its India positioning remains unknown.
