What’s New in the 2027 TVS Raider 125?

The updated TVS Raider 125 retains the same sporty streetfighter-inspired design as the existing motorcycle. There are no major styling changes with this update. It continues with a sharp LED headlamp, integrated LED DRLs, sculpted fuel tank, aggressive tank extensions, a compact tail section and a split-seat design on applicable variants. The motorcycle also gets LED tail lamps, alloy wheels and a muscular overall stance.

The wider rear tyre gives the Raider 125 a chunkier appearance. The rear tyre has now grown from a 110-section unit to a 120-section tyre, while the motorcycle continues to use 17-inch alloy wheels. The overall design remains focused on giving the 125cc commuter a sporty appearance without changing its core bodywork.

The biggest update is the addition of a switchable Traction Control System on the TFT DD and SXC DD variants. TVS claims that the Raider is the first 125cc motorcycle in India to receive traction control. The system is designed to reduce rear-wheel slip when riding on wet or slippery surfaces.

The motorcycle also gets Emergency Brake Warning, which alerts vehicles behind the rider when the brakes are applied suddenly. Another important addition is the 27W USB Type-C fast charger, replacing the older charging setup and allowing faster charging of compatible smartphones.

The Raider continues to use a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, three-valve petrol engine. The latest specifications list 11.4 PS and 11.75 Nm, with power sent to the rear wheel through a 5-speed gearbox. The engine and mechanical package remain unchanged with this update.

The wider 120-section rear tyre replaces the earlier 110-section unit and is intended to provide additional grip and stability. The higher variants continue with disc brakes at both ends and single-channel ABS. The SXC DD gets a colour LCD instrument cluster, while the TFT DD variant uses a TFT display with smartphone connectivity, navigation and other connected functions.

The motorcycle continues with its existing suspension setup, LED lighting and connected technology. It also retains the 10-litre fuel tank and the claimed mileage remains around 56 kmpl, depending on the variant and riding conditions.
