Royal Enfield Classic 650 Anniversary Edition Launched at Rs. 4.26 Lakh
Royal Enfield has launched the Classic 650 125th Anniversary Edition in India to celebrate the brand’s 125 years of motorcycle production. The limited-edition motorcycle gets an exclusive Hypershift paint finish, special anniversary detailing and a premium brown leather seat.
Royal Enfield has restricted production to just 125 units per key region globally, making the motorcycle a limited-run offering for collectors and enthusiasts. The Classic 650 Anniversary Edition retains the same 650 Twin mechanical package as the standard motorcycle.
Registrations open on October 16, while the sale will take place on October 28, 2026. Deliveries will begin in November.
Royal Enfield Classic 650 Anniversary Edition Price
Royal Enfield has priced the Classic 650 125th Anniversary Edition at Rs. 4,25,589 (ex-showroom) in India. The price makes it considerably more expensive than the regular Classic 650, which currently starts at around Rs. 3.61 lakh ex-showroom.
The higher price comes with the exclusive anniversary paint scheme, handcrafted detailing and limited production. Royal Enfield will produce only 125 units per key region globally. Registrations for the motorcycle open at 2 PM IST on October 16 and remain open until October 28, which is the scheduled sale date. Deliveries will start from November 2026.
Classic 650 Gets Hypershift Paint
The biggest visual change comes from the new Hypershift paint finish. The colour changes between red, green and gold depending on how light falls on the motorcycle. Royal Enfield has used a brass-inspired base for the finish, drawing inspiration from the company’s early motorcycles from 1901.
The special finish covers the fuel tank, side panels, mudguards and headlamp nacelle. The motorcycle retains the Classic 650’s familiar teardrop-shaped fuel tank, rounded bodywork and nacelle-mounted headlamp. Black-finished engine and exhaust components create a contrast with the elaborate paintwork.
The fuel tank also gets a black central section with hand-painted pinstripes. A Royal Enfield cannon decal sits on top of the tank, while a gilded 125th anniversary crest appears on the side panel.
Brown Quilted Leather Seat
The Classic 650 Anniversary Edition also gets a vintage-style brown leather seat with quilted stitching. The contrasting stitching matches the gold detailing used across the motorcycle.
Other equipment includes an LED headlamp, LED tail lamp and USB Type-C charging port. The motorcycle retains conventional bulb-type turn indicators. Wire-spoke wheels, rounded mirrors and black-finished twin exhausts complete the retro design.
Royal Enfield has kept the basic Classic 650 silhouette unchanged. The special edition instead focuses on paintwork, handcrafted detailing and anniversary-specific elements.
Same 648cc Twin-Cylinder Engine
The Classic 650 Anniversary Edition uses the same 647.95cc parallel-twin engine as the standard Classic 650. The fuel-injected, SOHC engine produces 34.6kW, or approximately 47PS, at 7,250rpm. It develops 52.3Nm of peak torque at 5,650rpm.
The engine works with a six-speed gearbox and a wet multi-plate clutch. Royal Enfield has not made mechanical changes to the engine for the anniversary edition.
Braking hardware includes a 320mm front disc and a 300mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle uses a 19-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel with 100/90 front and 140/70 rear tyres.
Dimensions and Weight
The Classic 650 Anniversary Edition has an 800mm seat height and 154mm ground clearance. It gets a 1,475mm wheelbase and a 14.7-litre fuel tank.
The motorcycle weighs 243kg in kerb condition with 90% fuel and oil. Its relatively high kerb weight remains one of the key characteristics of the Classic 650 platform.
Limited to 125 Units
Royal Enfield has limited production of the Classic 650 125th Anniversary Edition to 125 units per key region globally. The company introduced the motorcycle as part of its 125th anniversary celebrations, marking its long history that dates back to 1901.
Registrations open on October 16 at 2 PM IST through Royal Enfield’s website and mobile app. The sale is scheduled for October 28, while deliveries are expected to begin in November 2026.
